Is there a way to overwrite all files in geodatabase?
The problem I’m encountering in testing and writing code is that, despite of the command: all the files contained in geodatabase fail to overwrite. There’s a way to work around this? If I recall correctly there are certain situations for which overwriteOutput won’t work. In that case use the following code prior to writing out new files:
How to update feature layers in ArcGIS Online?
Specify the fields in the input file and the layer that ArcGIS Online can use to uniquely identify the features to update. Have I understood this code incorrectly, or should I be able to overwrite the merge output FC (AOI_test) repeatedly, now that I have specified that this is acceptable?
How to perform one merge in ArcPy script?
Let’s assume that your loc_list is [“A”,”B\\, then the first time Merge runs in your script the syntax used evaluates to: Your output dataset is NOT new, it is the same as one of your two inputs. In response to our discussion as comments I have included the untested code below to illustrate how I am suggesting that you could perform a single Merge.
Is the ArcPy module case sensitive in ESRI?
This frustrated me for an hour. arcpy is INDEED case sensitive, but the real crime is that ALL OVER esri help docs there is varying case used as if it would work in the examples. On top of that, most examples never show the env module, and show it this way (which will not work!!):
