Is there any issues in opening recurring events after List threshold?
We have created a calendar view to show just one recurring event. But when we open the event to view the details it is showing threshold error. But the same event we were able to open from standard view. Is there any issues in opening recurring events from calendar view after list threshold. Is there any work around for this.
Is there a threshold for calendar view threshold?
List view threshold was not modified. If a regular user goes into the All Events view they will be presented with the Exceeds View Threshold error since there are more than 5K items in the list. If the same user goes into the month of December, it does render properly with the first 3 events displaying and the XX more items link below.
Are there any recurring events in my calendar?
We have calendar list with recurring events. These events shown in Calendar view and All events view without any issues. We created one data view webpart for this calendar on a page. In this calendar data view webpart general events (which are not recurring) showing on page with out any issues but recurring events are not showing.
Here is my solution to filter calendar events including recurring in a list by “today”. In SharePoint create a new list view starting from an existing Current Events view or using the Standard View, with Expanded Recurring Events. Go to Site Actions and select Edit Page. Edit your new list view web part and select Current Events as the view.

How do I change the list view threshold?
Under “Application Management” click “Manage Web Applications”. Select the web application for which you’re adjusting the list view threshold. Select “General Settings” then “Resource Throttling”. Change the limit and click OK. Check the result by going to “List Settings” for any list on that web application.
What happens if folder is larger than list view threshold?
If you have a folder whose number of items is larger than the list view threshold, then the items in that folder cannot be displayed in the AllItems view of that folder. What is not counted towards the list view threshold is the sum of the items inside a folder and the items that are “siblings” of that folder.
