Is there export option for state and country picklist?
Sure would be good to have this functionality. Export option needed for state and country picklist. Much needed while using state and country picklist for existing orgs. This is a necessity. Strange its not available! This functionality would also be useful when syncing a SFDC org with external systems to ensure consistency between systems.
Do you need upvote or downvote for country picklists?
Give it an upvote or downvote. But, the ability to export it for review and approval sometimes is needed, using View Source as explained in the document is good only for Country, not for the State for each country. This would be a great feature to have.
Why do we need state and country picklists?
This functionality would also be useful when syncing a SFDC org with external systems to ensure consistency between systems. Right now it is an extremely painful process to create these lists to send to others to ensure bad data isn’t being pushed into the org via API integrations.
Is there an XML file for state and country picklists?
This cranks out an XML file along with the ISO codes along with the values if you have them turned on or off. PM me if you need any info. Thank you Louis Nguyen, that worked for me.
What happens when state and country picklists are activated?
When State and Country Picklists is activated, users will be not able manually to type into State and Country, but they have to select from picklist. This will make your data clean, e.g. United States maybe enter as USA, U.S., United States America, this will make you will be difficult to analyze data correctly.
When to use state and country picklists in Salesforce?
The country / state name or code must be exist in the picklist value defined, otherwise the insert/update process will be failed. When you insert / update State, make sure that state is available for that particular country, otherwise the process will failed. So this is how it looks like when you had State and Country Picklists enabled.
