Is there way to apply mirror modifier and get two objects?
Blender Artists is an online creative forum that is dedicated to the growth and education of the 3D software Blender. Is there a way to apply the mirror modifier and get two objects instead of two meshes inside one object? I know how to go into edit mode and pull by selection or loose parts, I was hoping to skip that step.

April 24, 2018, 1:19pm #12 ha ha, yes indeed giving asymmetry to a mesh does make it more interesting. only thing is that it often means having to do twice as much work to achieve a result that often does not correlate with the amount of effort expended, particularly because this model is intended for animation
Why does hair only show on one side of mirror?
