Is WAN IP my public IP?
Your WAN address is your public address, but you are yourself using something that makes it look like you are accessing the internet somewhere else. One example is a proxy server which uses the 182-address to access the internet. A website telling you what your public IP is would see the 182 address.
What is my WAN IP address?
The Wide Area Network (WAN) IP address of your router is the address supplied by your Internet Service Provider (ISP). Your router’s WAN IP address can be check in the router’s web-based setup page.
Can I have multiple IP addresses?
Yes you can have more than one IP address when using a single Network Card. Setting this up is different in each Operating System, but may involve creating a new Network Interface. This can look like a unique connection but will be using the same Network Card behind the scenes.
When to use port address translation ( PAT ) configuration?

This type of NAT is also known as NAT Overload and is the typical form of NAT used in today’s networks.
Can a NAT rule be configured for two different ISPs?
If two external interfaces exist, to two different ISPs, maintaining different public IP addresses, two identical outbound NAT rules can be configured.
What’s the difference between uni-directional NAT and Pat?
Uni-directional NAT allows for a little more control over the policy than bi-directional, and it allows for PAT or Port Address Translation. Why do I need additional IP address for Nat pool?
If, for example, your ISP provided a public subnet of /29 or larger, you have additional IP addresses that can be used for all sorts of things. If your internal network is quite large, these additional addresses may be needed to prevent oversubscription of the NAT pool.
