If plain HTTP is entirely disabled on my server, do I still need HSTS? Yes. Disabling HTTP support is not sufficient to prevent attacks that downgrade web browsers to plain HTTP. During an attack, it doesn’t matter whether the “real” server has disabled HTTP.
