What blade is best for cutting MDF?
For cutting MDF and man-made materials: Use a 50-tooth to 80-tooth blade. 60-tooth and up blades often make better cuts in dense materials. For plastic laminate: Use an 80-tooth cross-cut blade. You may be able to use a 60-tooth composite blade for thinner materials.
Does cutting MDF dull saw blades?
For particleboard or MDF, it is suggested to use a triple chip grind blade with 80 teeth. Man-made materials can quickly dull saw blades. With a triple chip grind, the corners of every other tooth are chamfered at 45°. The insert will provide a solid surface under and right up to the blade.
Can you cut MDF with a bandsaw?
A jigsaw or reciprocating saw will cut MDF well with a wood-cutting blade. A shop tool such as a bandsaw or scroll saw won’t produce as much vibration and either will work well with a wood-cutting blade.

A standard bit will do the job just fine,, MDF is Hard on router bits , I would not suggest you use the high price carbide up-spiral bit just pickup SOME standard router bits..
How do you cut MDF cleanly?
A jigsaw cuts MDF as easily as it cuts plywood, although you should keep in mind that the more teeth the blade has, the less chance there is of chipping the material around the edges of the cut. Hence a steel-cutting blade, while cutting more slowly, will keep the edges intact in a sensitive cut.
Is MDF bad for your health?
