What causes cold start rough idle?
An engine that is doing a rough idle when cold can also be the result of faulty spark plugs or damaged spark plug wires. If the damage in the engine and the spark plugs is severe enough, you might also notice that your engine has begun running rough while driving or has a rough idle when cold.
