One of the most common causes of inconsistent extrusion that we have not mentioned yet is the quality of the filament that you are printing with. Others may have an inconsistent filament diameter, which will also cause inconsistent extrusion. Finally, many plastics also have a tendency to degrade over time.
How do you fix an inconsistent extrusion?

What is an extrusion multiplier?
The extrusion multiplier in a slicer helps to set the extrusion flow rate. We are seeking to ensure the appropriate level of filament comes out of the nozzle to make your prints as accurate and good looking as possible. This is specific to every spool but at minimum a good idea to do per brand/material.
How do you solve heat creep?
The most obvious solution to heat creep is to lower your hot end temperature. A high hot end temperature means that there’s more heat within the heat block, and excess may travel up the hot end assembly. Eventually, hot end components get hot enough for the filament inside to start to melt.
