Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) is a certification program that focuses on hands-on offensive information security skills. It consists of two parts: a nearly 24-hour pen testing exam, and a documentation report due 24 hours after it. OSCP is a very hands-on exam.
Is OSCP a good cert?

Does OSCP expire?
Offensive Security’s certifications such as the OSCP do not expire: once a candidate earns them, they are valid indefinitely. This way, the OSCP can be re-issued within the time period required by the CRT equivalency program.
Is the OSCP certification a beginner or advanced certification?
The OSCP certification is a serious certification exam, and although it is considered a beginning certification within Offensive Security’s suite of certifications and courses, it should still be considered an advanced certification exam by any cybersecurity professional, regardless of experience within the industry.
Which is a follow up to the OSCP?
The OSCE is aligned with a course called “Cracking the Perimeter”, and has more focus on exploit development. Offensive Security also offers the OSWE, which is the Offensive Security Web Expert and is another certification considered to be a follow up to the OSCP.
