What do you look for in a transistor marking?
Most transistor markings follow one of these codes: JEDEC, JIS or Pro-Electron. For ICs, look for known numbers (e.g. 741, 4001, 7400) between the prefix and the suffix. Why are transistor and diode part numbering schemes important?
The aim of the the industry standard numbering schemes is to allow for the identification and description of electronic components and in this case semiconductor devices including diodes, bipolar transistors and field effect transistors, to have common electronic components and component numbering across several manufacturers.
What’s the difference between a diode and a transistor?
Thus a device with the numbering code 1N4148 is a diode and a 2N706 is a bipolar transistor. Sometimes extra letters are added to the part number and these often refer to refer to the manufacturer.

All found in the SMD databook 2011, 2500 comprehensive pages. Recommended. The A7W is a double diode. I took a guess and googled “transistor marking A7W”. Good luck on the rest. What are the markings on a SOT-23 transistor?
I’ve got a SOT-23 transistor (I think, but it could also be an IC) marked with 1E. Another one is marked with A7W. Then I can also see WR5.
