What does the Marketing Cloud Connect API do?
The Marketing Cloud Connect API user completes the account-level connection between Marketing Cloud and Sales Cloud or Service Cloud. This user provides the initial authentication for email sends, triggered sends, tracking subscription requests, and Journey Builder entry events.
