What does this CC BY-ND license mean?
The Creative Commons Attribution–NonDerivative License (CC BY-ND) is one of the licenses created by the Creative Commons project. A work licensed in this way allows the following: 1. The freedom to use and perform the work. The licensee must be allowed to make any use, private or public, of the work.
What is an Attribution No Derivatives Creative Commons license?
You must give credit to the original author of the work, including a URL or hyperlink to the work, this CC licence and a copyright notice. It is very restrictive as it does not allow making derivatives: you may not distribute modified works.

What makes a derivative work a copyrightable work?
A derivative work involves enough creativity and originality that it constitutes a new copyrightable work. Simply converting a work from one medium to another — from print to digital, or CD to MP3 — does not produce a derivative work.
