What happens when your domain expires GoDaddy?
When you register a domain through GoDaddy, you have the option of paying for one or several years. Once that time expires, you must pay again to keep the domain registered in your name. If you fail to make the payment, GoDaddy will begin the process of reclaiming the domain.
What happens when GoDaddy auction ends?
If the auction is for an expired domain and is not sold, it will be returned to the Registry. They will generally hold it for 30 days (time at their discretion), then release it for general registration.
