What is a non-transactional database?
The individual data in the non-transactional database may not require transactional processing as would managing money between bank accounts. Examples of possible non-transactional lists include: Customer lists, Contact information, Supplier information, location lists, and parts lists.
What are two types of integration testing?
Integration testing is the process of testing the interface between two software units or module….Those approaches are the following:
- Big-Bang Integration Testing –
- Bottom-Up Integration Testing –
- Top-Down Integration Testing –
- Mixed Integration Testing –
What is a transactional test?
Transactional tests (also known as quality control tests) are compliance tests that are conducted contemporaneously with the activity in question and are used to detect deviations of actual transactions from firm policies or regulatory standards.
Do you know what transactional and non transactional services are?
Transactional table means, if data manipulation done with in transaction then rollback / commit will work. For Non Transactional table, You need to rollback the changes with manual code. No Impact of rollBack and commit. These tables are useful for performing the statements with high performance.
How do you test transactional?
How do you test Spring @Transactional without just hitting hibernate level 1 cache or doing manual session flush?
- call a method that changes a User object then calls a @Transactional service method to persist it.
- read the object back from the DB and insure it’s values are correct after the method.
What is transactional text?
Transactional writing is non-fiction writing that intends to communicate information between individuals or groups. Non-fiction texts include (amongst others): magazine articles. travel writing.
What’s the difference between transactional and non-transactional databases?
Basically, a transaction is one or more add, update, delete, modify changes to the database that must all be completed or none of the steps should be executed. Transactional databases are useful when data integrity is important.
How are integration tests different from other tests?
For Integration Tests the “Units” under test are larger. You test entire systems or multiple modules instead of small code units. Integration Tests have to run in an automated context (Continuous Integration Builds).
When to use end to end integration testing?
They are often used to test external services, like databases, APIs, etc. So, these tests are more expensive (take longer) to run. End-To-End tests will test the application as a whole, by testing the UI (using frameworks like Selenium, etc.), or calling an API layer.
Which is cheaper to run unit tests or integration tests?
Starting from bottom to top, tests are cheaper to run. You should have as many tests as possible (or viable). Where Unit Tests cover smaller code bases, Integration Tests will test multiple modules or systems as they interact together.
