What are Amp Hours? Amp hour is the rating used to tell consumers how much amperage a battery can provide for exactly one hour. In small batteries such as those used in personal vaporizers, or standard AA sized batteries, the amp hour rating is usually given in milli-amp hours, or (mAh).
What does 18V 4ah mean?
A high-capacity battery pack, such as a 3.0Ah or 4.0Ah 18V pack, has double the number of battery cells as 1.5Ah and 2.0Ah packs. A 2.0Ah battery pack will have five 3.6V cells – each with 2.0Ah capacity – connected in series, and a 4.0Ah pack will have two sets of five batteries connected in parallel.

How are amps and watt hours the same?
There is still 12 Volt but the number of Amps has increased from 50 to 100. We have now created a 12V100Ah battery. If we measure the capacity in Watt-hours, the total capacity is now 12 x 100 = 1200 Wh. So the number of watt-hours always remains the same, whether you connect them in series or parallel.
