What is Colour and texture?
As nouns the difference between texture and color is that texture is the feel or shape of a surface or substance; the smoothness, roughness, softness, etc of something while color is (uncountable) the spectral composition of visible light.
What does texture in art mean?
Texture refers to the surface quality in a work of art. Everything has some type of texture. We describe things as being rough, smooth, silky, shiny, fuzzy and so on. Some things feel just as they appear; this is called real or actual texture. Some things look like they are rough but are actually smooth.
How to reload an image as texture in Blender?
The easiest way to do this is to re-load the image in the UV/Image editor window. The shortcut is Alt R On the Properties panel of images used as texture there is also a button to reload the image from disk.
Do you have to close Blender to change texture?
The paint tool in Blender doesn’t seem to allow for clean shapes like PS. Image used as textures will not update automatically every time the file is changed, but you don’t need to close blender to make the changes visible. Can a PSD be used as a live texture in Blender?
I need a way to LIVE draw shapes on my objects in blender, meaning creating squares, circles, etc as one would in Photoshop but in Blender so I can see how it looks. but this isn’t ideal. Next to keep the live updating I tried selecting a PSD as my material texture and UV unwrapping like this, but the PSD doesn’t update live.
