What is decoding H265?
HEVC, also known as H. 265, is a video compression codec. It was developed to double the compression efficiency of the previous standard, H. 264/AVC, hence the name High Efficiency Video Coding.

When you choose a profile with an “automatic level”, the best level will be chosen depending on the incoming video format and the chosen bitrate. In H.265 there is no selection of Profile and Level because only the “Main Automatic Level” is supported, so the best level will be chosen depending on the incoming video format and the chosen bitrate.

Is there support for H.265 in macOS?
