What is enameled aluminum wire?
We manufacture a broad assortment of Enameled Aluminium Wires, which is an aluminum conductor, commonly known as aluminium stranded conductor. Our range is manufactured using 99.5% pure electrolytically refined EC grade aluminium.
What is enameled Copper Wire used for?
Enameled Copper Wire, otherwise known as winding wire or magnet wire, is a highly versatile material used principally in applications that require electrical transference including transformers, inductors, motors, generators, speakers, hard disk actuators, electromagnets and other applications that require tight coils …
What is enameled copper?
Magnet wire, also known as winding wire or enameled wire, is a copper or aluminum wire coated with a thin insulation and is a principal component of transformers, inductors, motors, and other electrical devices. The enamel is typically a polymer film that provides a tough continuous layer of insulation.
Which is better aluminum wire or Copper Wire?
Aluminum Wire vs Copper Wire Copper wiring is more stable than aluminum and smaller conductors are needed to transmit power loads. Overall all it is more durable and performs better than aluminum wiring. One of the disadvantages of copper wiring is its cost.
What is the rate of copper wire?
Questions & Answers on Copper Wires

How is enameled copper wire made?
The process phases are:
- Bare wire annealing. Annealing is a process at high temperature which aim to soften the copper and make it more malleable.
- Application of the enamel on the wire.
- Enamel polymerization.
- Cooling of the wire.
- Application of external lubricant.
- Coils winding.
Can you enamel on copper?
You can torch fire enamel on copper quite successfully but if you counter-enamel you may burn it. Having said that, firing the front of the piece sometimes gives some quite interesting effects, so it may be worth a try.
Can you mix copper and aluminum wire?
The only way considered safe to connect copper and aluminum is through a splice connector. Specifically, you have to connect the wires individually so they are not prone to corrosion. The effectiveness of “pigtailing” using twist-on connectors has been evaluated by CPSC staff.
Does aluminum wire work as well as copper?
In addition to a lower price tag, aluminum wiring is somewhat easier to work with an copper wiring. Copper wiring is stronger, so it’s less likely to break. Aluminum wiring, however, is more flexible, making it easy to work with in small spaces.
