What is an F5 virtual server?
A virtual server is a traffic-management object on the BIG-IP system that is represented by an IP address and a service. Clients on an external network can send application traffic to a virtual server, which then directs the traffic according to your configuration instructions.
How does F5 route traffic?
TMM switch routes are routes that the BIG-IP system uses to forward traffic through the TMM switch interfaces instead of through the management interface. Traffic sourced from a TMM address will never use a management route. When TMM is not running, the TMM addresses are not available, and all TMM routes are removed.
What is SNAT in F5?
A Secure Network Address Translation (SNAT) is an object that maps the source client IP address in a request to a translation address defined on the BIG-IP device. (With no SNAT configured, no source address translation takes place).

How to create a F5 routing default route?
– Network Engineering Stack Exchange F5 Routing – Default Route or IP Forwarding Virtual Server? In the 21st video of the F5 video series in CBT Nuggets, Keith Barker explains that the way to make the F5 “route” is by creating an IP Forwarding Virtual Server.
