What is G-buffer?
The G-buffer. The G-buffer is the collective term of all textures used to store lighting-relevant data for the final lighting pass.
How does deferred lighting work?
Deferred lighting The screen-space, “deferred” pass then accumulates diffuse and specular lighting data separately, so a last pass must be made over the scene geometry to output final image with per-pixel shading. The apparent advantage of deferred lighting is a dramatic reduction in the size of the G-Buffer.
What is deferred rendering in unity?
When using deferred shading, there is no limit on the number of lights that can affect a GameObject. See in Glossary. All lights are evaluated per-pixel, which means that they all interact correctly with normal maps. See in Glossary, etc. Additionally, all lights can have cookies and shadows.
What are buffers and what do they do?
A buffer is a solution that resists changes in pH upon the addition of acid or base. Buffers typically contain several species that react with added acid and base. Buffers are important in maintaining the proper environment within microorganisms and within other cells, including those in man.
What makes a “good” buffer?
The protein hemoglobin makes an excellent buffer. It can bind to small amounts of acid in the blood, helping to remove that acid before it changes the blood’s pH. Many other proteins act as buffers as well.
How do you make a buffer?
A buffer is made by mixing a large volume of a weak acid or weak base together with its conjugate. A weak acid and its conjugate base can remain in solution without neutralizing each other.
What are everyday uses for buffers?
Buffers are also important in certain commercial household products. Shampoo, for example, contains buffers of citric acid and sodium hydroxide, which work to balance out the natural alkalinity of soap, which would otherwise burn the scalp.
