If you are using Multi line of Text and Enhanced rich text option is checked.. By Default List views display it in html format. below is screenshot of your example I have never really tried, but I don’t think it’s possible.
Why is the rich text field blank in IE 8?
As IE 8 (Default): I see the same behavior where the Rich text field is blank but i can still type on the control. As IE 9 & 10: The rich text field is still empty but now the field is also disabled (greyed out) As Edge: The issue is not present. (The information in the list shows up correctly at the rich text editor field)
