What is Net Antennae?
The Volleyball Net Antenna gives volleyball players and referees a visual aid to judge whether or not a ball is in play or out of bounds as it travels over the net. The Volleyball Net Antenna are sold in pairs.
What is Net antenna violation in Altium?
But Altium gives me a “Net Antennae Violation”. This rule operates at a net level in the design to flag any track or arc end that is not connected to any other primitive and thus forms an antenna. The specified value is the set tolerance of how long a stub must be before the rule will flag an error.
What is clearance Altium?
Summary. This rule defines the minimum clearance allowed between any two primitive objects on a copper layer. Either a single value for clearance can be specified, or different clearances for different object pairings, through use of a dedicated Minimum Clearance Matrix.
How many antennas are attached to the net?
two antennae
There are two antennae for each volleyball court, that are usually made of red and white striped plastic or a type of fiberglass. They are attached to the net and represent a vertical extension of the sideline of that extends up above them to the ceiling and below them to the floor.
How high is the antenna on a volleyball net?
80cm
The antenna is a flexible rod, 1.8m long and 10mm in diameter and made of fibreglass or similar material. It is fastened on opposite sides of the net. The top of the antenna extends 80cm above the net and is marked with 10cm stripes of contrasting colour, usually red and white.
What does via stitching do?
Via stitching is a technique used to tie together larger copper areas on different layers, in effect creating a strong vertical connection through the board structure, helping maintain a low impedance and short return loops.
How does the referee know if the ball is in or out of line?
If a ball is inside of that line or any part of the ball touches that line, it is considered “in.” If the ball is outside of the line and does not touch the line it is considered “out.” The official sign for a ball that is in bounds is both hands palms down facing the court.
What are the rules for the net antennae?
Net Antennae Tolerance – maximum permissible length for the stub of an open-ended track/arc primitive (or one that terminates in a via). All rules are resolved by the priority setting. The system goes through the rules from highest to lowest priority and picks the first one whose scope expression matches the object (s) being checked.
How to check for net antennae violation on PCB?
Click on the Via and on the track and on the pad. Check the multi-selector box carefully. There is probably an extra segment hiding in there that is causing the violation. Thanks for contributing an answer to Electrical Engineering Stack Exchange!
How to flag a ” net antennae violation ” in Altium?
But Altium gives me a “Net Antennae Violation”. The Altium documentation states: This rule operates at a net level in the design to flag any track or arc end that is not connected to any other primitive and thus forms an antenna. The specified value is the set tolerance of how long a stub must be before the rule will flag an error.
How to set ground polygon to GND net?
Also make sure your ground plane is on the correct net (ie, set the ground polygon to GND net). BTW, I just tested this using a “Solid Region” as my ground plane. You may have a “hidden” track segment. Click on the Via and on the track and on the pad. Check the multi-selector box carefully.
