A relay is an electrically operated switch. It consists of a set of input terminals for a single or multiple control signals, and a set of operating contact terminals. The switch may have any number of contacts in multiple contact forms, such as make contacts, break contacts, or combinations thereof.
What is Web relay?
WebRelay is an electrical relay (or electrical switch) with a built-in web server. The relay can be turned on, off, or pulsed using a web browser. It has a long history of reliable operation in many applications including remote reboot, industrial control, security, and remote control and monitoring.
How is relay work?
Relays control one electrical circuit by opening and closing contacts in another circuit. As relay diagrams show, when a relay contact is normally open (NO), there is an open contact when the relay is not energized. When a relay contact is Normally Closed (NC), there is a closed contact when the relay is not energized.
How does a web relay work?
Web Control Simply connect the relay contacts to the device to be controlled, and switch the relay on and off remotely using a web browser (see Figure 1). WebRelay provides an optically-isolated input which allows you to monitor the state of a device or control the relay contacts by applying a voltage.
What is a smart relay?
Relays monitor voltages, currents and frequency in the electrical system and send control signals to protective devices such as circuit breakers or switches. Smart relays can store measurement data and process that data to provide utilities with complex information about power system conditions.
Which is the best remote control relay board?
WiFi Remote Controlled Relay Boards NCD WiFi Relay controllers offer a popular solution for wireless relay control. Send TCP/IP commands over your local area network to control on-board relays. WiFi relay controllers are cross-platform compatible, as all operating systems are capable of sending and receiving TCP/IP data.
How can I control a wireless relay board?
Simply select the relay controller you need and choose the desired wireless interface for it. NCD WiFi Relay controllers offer a popular solution for wireless relay control. Send TCP/IP commands over your local area network to control on-board relays.
What kind of relay controller do I Need?
Our Industrial Relays offer a modular communication interface, allowing you to upgrade to other communication technologies as your needs change. Simply select the relay controller you need and choose the desired wireless interface for it. NCD WiFi Relay controllers offer a popular solution for wireless relay control.
