What is resistor package?
Resistors are available in a large number of different package styles and sizes. The most commonly used today are the rectangular surface mount (SMD) resistors, but also the good old axial resistor is still used extensively in through-hole designs.
What size do resistors come in?
SMD resistors come in standardized sizes; usually either 0805 (0.08″ long by 0.05″ wide), 0603, or 0402. They’re great for mass circuit-board-production, or in designs where space is a precious commodity.
How big is a 1206 resistor?
Chip Resistor Sizes
| ROHM Part No. | Chip Size (Length x Width) | inch |
|---|---|---|
| ***18 | 3.2 mm × 1.6 mm | 1206 |
| ***25 | 3.2 mm × 2.5 mm | 1210 |
| ***50 | 5.0 mm × 2.5 mm | 2010 |
| ***100 | 6.4 mm × 3.2 mm | 2512 |
What size is SMT?
Surface mount resistors come in a variety of sizes. The smallest size is the 0201 package which measures a tiny 0.6mm x 0.30mm. You can find surface mount resistors as large as 6.3mm x 3.1mm which is referred to as size 2512.
What is a 1206 resistor?
0.25W, 1/4W Chip Resistor 1206 (3216 Metric) Moisture Resistant Thick Film. Tolerance:±1% Power (Watts):0.25W, 1/4W.
What is the smallest resistor?
Measuring just 0.3 mm x 0.15 mm, the RC0075 chip resistor is 44% smaller than the EIA (Electronic Industries Association) size 01005 (0.4 mm x 0.2 mm) chip resistor, making it perfect for applications where miniaturization of thick film chip resistors is required.
