What is the difference between classic site and modern site?
Home page When you create a classic team site from the team site template, web parts for Announcements, Calendar, and Links are automatically added to the home page, while on a modern site, you get a section for News, Quick links, Site activity, and a Document library.
Just click F12 function key. Click on application tab,expand cookies section and select the sharepoint online site which you currently working on. Refresh the browser and that’s it!! you are now moved to modern view.
What is classic view in SharePoint?
If you access the document library or list or Site Contents Page that has gotten a new experience (look and feel), you can switch temporarily to the old (classic) view just by clicking Return to classic SharePoint in the lower left-hand corner of the screen.
