Can I use TP4056 while charging?
If a load is attached to the battery while charging, then the TP4056 may not detect when the charge current has fallen to C/10. So it could continue charging – this could be dangerous. You should never use the TP4056 as a charger and as a load driver at the same time.
How does TP4056 module work?
The charge voltage is fixed at 4.2V, and the charge current can be programmed externally with a single resistor. The TP4056 automatically terminates the charge cycle when the charge current drops to 1/10th the programmed value after the final float voltage is reached.
Can TP4056 charge multiple batteries?
Just use one TP4056 and connect both cells in parallel after balancing them first. Don’t connect batteries with more than 0.2V difference in parallel as this can risk fire and explosions (excessive charging current from one to another). This will work because Lithium cells have a wide voltage range.
How many batteries can be connected to TP4056?
You can connect two lithium battery cells in parallel to form an equivalent single cell battery with a total capacity of twice that of the individual single cells, but we do not recommend connecting more than two cells at a time to this module.
How do I use the TP4056 charging module?
How to use TP4056? TP4056 module operates by supplying 5V power from either micro USB cable or the IN+ and IN- solder pads. At least, the current of 1A is required for the charger to correctly charge a battery connected at the output terminals. Connect the cell you need to charge between B+ and B- terminals.

How do I connect my TP4056 module?
What is TP4056 battery charging module?
TP4056 with current protection is a compact module, perfect for 18650 Li-Ion batteries that do not have their own protection circuit. The module is basically made for charging rechargeable lithium batteries using the constant current/constant voltage charging method.
How do I install TP4056?
Building
- Step 1: Add wires to the TP4056 board. Solder the positive and negative wires from the 18650 battery holder to the B+ and B- pads on the TP4056 board.
- Step 2: Connect Boost Converter. Solder the OUT+ wire to the IN+ pad and the OUT- to the IN- pad on the boost converter.
- Step 3: Add Output Wires.
- Step 4: Power!
