What is user Access Level?
Define what users can do in Timely with access levels. User access levels define what information the different users on your account can access and edit. They are particularly important for when you want to keep your employees’ hourly rates confidential.
What are the different levels of access?
The two most common access levels are public and private, which denote, respectively; permission across the entire program scope, or permission only within the corresponding class. A third, protected, extends permissions to all subclasses of the corresponding class.
What is a user access?
The authorization given to users that enables them to access specific resources on the network, such as data files, applications, printers and scanners. User permissions also designate the type of access; for example, can data only be viewed (read only) or can they be updated (read/write).
How to create user groups and access levels?
Create a menu item, article, category, or other type of content that support ACL. In “Access” field, choose the new level. Attach images by dragging & dropping or by selecting them.
What are the permissions, access levels and security groups?
Security groups are assigned permissions which either allow or deny access to a feature. Members of the security group inherit the permissions assigned to the group. Each user is also assigned an access level which grants or restricts access to select web portal features.
How to add a user to a group?
Add members, and then select Add. When you assign the same access level to a user, the user consumes only one access level. User assignments can be made both directly and through a group. No other licenses are required. You can assign Group rules to support both access levels and project memberships.
How to assign access levels in Azure AD groups?
For example, if John is assigned to two Azure AD groups and two different Group rules that specify Stakeholder access and the other Basic access, then John’s access level is Basic. Verify that the resources are applied to each group and individual user. On the All users tab, highlight a user, and then select Summary.
