What is Wagile?
For those that don’t know what “Wagile” is, Wikipedia describes it as: a group of software development methodologies that result from slipping from agile back into waterfall, doing a lot of short waterfalls and thinking it is agile, Waterfall model masquerading as Agile software development, etc.
What is Scrummerfall?
Scrummerfall. n. The practice of combining Scrum and Waterfall so as to ensure failure at a much faster rate than you had with Waterfall alone.
What is Water Scrum Fall methodology?
Water-Scrum-fall is a hybrid approach to application lifecycle management that combines Waterfall and Scrum development methodologies. Generally speaking, a development team that uses a waterfall approach regards the development process for a software product as one large project.
What is WAgile project management?
WAgile is a hybrid of both methodologies. It typically occurs when an Agile project turns into a string of short Waterfalls. While many PMs view this approach as an inefficient mistake, a strong case can be made for the contrary. WAgile is simply a response to today’s development demands.
What is ScrumBut?
ScrumButs mean that Scrum has exposed a dysfunction that is contributing to the problem, but is too hard to fix. A ScrumBut retains the problem while modifying Scrum to make it invisible so that the dysfunction is no longer a thorn in the side of the team.
What is Agifall?
In an ‘agifall’ project, a project manager divides the research, strategy, and planning stages into smaller tasks and completes one task at a time with a sprinter’s pace. As for the development phase, it’s not different from any other ‘agile’ project.
What’s the difference between an avalanche and a blizzard?
As nouns the difference between avalanche and blizzard is that avalanche is a large mass or body of snow and ice sliding swiftly down a mountain side, or falling down a precipice while blizzard is a severe snowstorm, especially with strong winds and greatly reduced visibility.
What are the different types of avalanches?
Powder avalanches arise mostly from slab avalanches. A powder cloud forms in the presence of a large altitude difference when a sufficient quantity of snow becomes suspended in the air. Powder avalanches can reach a speed of 300 km/h and cause tremendous damage. They occur most commonly when the avalanche danger is high or very high.
Can a slab avalanche occur in wet snow?
Slab avalanches can occur in dry or wet snow, even a long time after any snowfall. They can release naturally (without human assistance) or be triggered at any point within or even outside (in case of remote triggering) the perimeter of the slab.
How does an avalanche form in a slope?
The avalanche is released by a small fracture that initially occurs in the weak layer (initial failure) and then rapidly propagates across it. The extent to which the fracture propagates depends on the properties of the weak layer and on the slab that is lying on top. Once released, the slab slides down the slope.
