What is Wall robot?
A wall following robot is designed to move along a wall without hitting it. It has obstacle detection sensors mounted on the body which detects wall and drive DC motors attached to the wheels such that the robot keeps moving along the wall.
What is Wall follower algorithm?
In wall follower algorithm, the robot will keep an eye at the right or left wall and navigate throughout the maze until it finds the target point. This algorithm is proven to be very efficient for mazes that are wall-linked to the target point [4, 6].
How does a robot drive away from a wall?
Robot is driving away from wall. Come back to wall, turn right. Robot is away from wall but headed towards a wall or obstacle. Turn hard left to get back parallel with the wall. Robot is following the wall. Drive forward.
How does a robot move in a straight line?
If both tracks move in the same direction, the robot is propelled in a straight line forward or backward. If one track is reversed, the robot turns ( Figure 6 ). FIGURE 6. Like differentially-steered wheeled robots, tracked bots steer by changing the direction of the treads.
Which is the best way to control a robot?
Basic Control Methods Feedback Control Figure 11.1:Driving along a Wall Edge Suppose the robot should be programmed to drive with its left side near a wall, following the wall edge (see Figure 11.1). Several options exist to accomplish this task: One solution is to orient the robot exactly parallel to the wall, then drive it straight ahead.
What kind of robot has a parallel manipulator?
Also known as parallel robots, or generalized Stewart platforms (in the Stewart platform, the actuators are paired together on both the basis and the platform), these systems are articulated robots that use similar mechanisms for the movement of either the robot on its base, or one or more manipulator arms.
