What kind of resistors are used in Eagle CAD?

What kind of resistors are used in Eagle CAD?

For a Eagle CAD PCB board design, I am trying to use through-hole capacitors and resistors I am using C050-035X075 package type capacitors from Eagle CAD library and 0207/10 for Resistors. Are these the standard through hole resistors and capacitors? or am I doing something terribly wrong.

How big is the hole in a capacitor?

Likewise for capacitors, the part you need to use depends on the type of capacitor (monolithic, ceramic, electrolytic, etc) and the capacitance and voltage ratings. Assuming you are looking at the RCL library, 0207/10 simply means the body of the resistor is 2mm x 7mm and the hole to hole spacing is 10mm.

How are the two plates of a capacitor connected?

The two metal plates on the top and bottom of a cap are connected by two electrical terminals that connect it to the rest of a circuit. One end of the capacitor connects to power, and the other flows to ground. The internal anatomy of a capacitor, we’ve got our two metal plates, the inner dielectric, and connecting terminals.

Which is the first part of the using Eagle series?

This tutorial is the first of a two-part Using EAGLE series, and it’s devoted entirely to the schematic-designing side of EAGLE. In part 2, Using EAGLE: Board Layout, we’ll use the schematic designed in this tutorial as the basis for our example board layout.

What are the hole spacing for a PCB resistor?

Assuming you are looking at the RCL library, 0207/10 simply means the body of the resistor is 2mm x 7mm and the hole to hole spacing is 10mm. Similarly C050-035×075 means 5mm hole spacing, 3.5mm x 7.5mm outline. You have to figure out (with calipers, for example) if this will work with the parts you are planning to use.

Where do the holes go on a PCB?

On the left side of the PCB, holes has been added, and on the right side of the board, two vias has been placed. As it is illustrated on the following figure, vias are isolated from copper pour:

Is there a library for SMD resistors and capacitors?

R/C MASTER-SMD! – v1.01 (07/03/2007) This library is a collection of SMD ONLY resistors and capacitors by various manufacturers. The pad sizes, spacing and silkscreen widths have been tweaked for use in dense fine pitch layouts where space, alignment and precision are critical.

Where can I find capacitors and resistors in RCL?

The rcl library has footprints for a bunch of common TH and SM resistors, capacitors, and inductors. I think both your capacitor and resistor are in that library.

What do you mean by’standard’resistor and capacitor?

The capacitors are mainly decoupling 0.1 uF capacitors What do you mean by ‘standard’? Resistors with different power ratings have different standard sizes (for example, 1/8W vs 1/4W). Likewise for capacitors, the part you need to use depends on the type of capacitor (monolithic, ceramic, electrolytic, etc) and the capacitance and voltage ratings.
