What means full load?
Full-load (FTL) means when transport company delivers truck to the shipper, which completely fills the truck in one direction. When the truck is loaded, the cargo is transported directly to the specified location.
What does full load mean in electrical?
The full load of a power supply refers to the maximum operation ratings of the power supply. If it is supplying the rated current (same as maximum current) at the rated voltage, then the load that is connected is the full load. Leaving an output without a load on it will cause this to happen.
What is the difference between no load and full load voltage?
With no-load connected there is no secondary current which means that the secondary voltage is at its maximum value. However when fully-loaded, secondary currents flow producing core losses and copper losses within the winding. A leading power factor (capacitive load), the output terminal voltage will rise.
What is no load circuit?
The open-circuit test, or no-load test, is one of the methods used in electrical engineering to determine the no-load impedance in the excitation branch of a transformer. The no load is represented by the open circuit, which is represented on the right side of the figure as the “hole” or incomplete part of the circuit.
What is the load of a circuit?
An electrical load is simply any component of a circuit that consumes power or energy. In a household setting, the most obvious examples of electrical loads include light bulbs and appliances.
What happens when load is more than full load?
If there is no load condition, no current flows and there is no voltage drop in the series resistance, hence voltage across load is more than full load condition. If the voltage at the load is too low, the output is boosted to compensate.
What does zero load mean in a circuit?
Meaning of zero load and full load in circuits. Zero load means no current is going through the load, i.e. an open circuit. Full load means that all possible current is going through the load, i.e. either a short circuit or some arbitrary maximum current as defined by the situation or problem.
What does full load mean in a circuit?
All the current that flows in the circuit must go through the R1 and the zener. In the second image, a load is present. At full load, that would mean that maximum current draw that would go into the load. Now the current will flow through the zener and the load.
What does full load mean on a diode?
Full load must mean minimum power for the zener diode, not zero power, since there is some minimum current through to maintain the (more or less constant) zener voltage across.
What does it mean when power supply is under load regulation?
The smaller the load regulation, the stable and reliable is the power supply. Typical well-regulated power supplies have load regulations of less than 1%, meaning that the output voltage will change by a maximum of 1% over the supply’s load current range.
