What should the sample rate be in GNU Radio?
This is fed by a Rational Resampler which interpolates (multiplies) the sample rate by 4, so the input sample rate must be 12000 (12khz). The Multiply, IIR Filter, and Uchar to Float blocks do not change the sample rate. The Repeat block takes each data item of input and repeats it 1200 times.
How does the Nyquist-Shannon sampling theorem work?
In this discussion, the Nyquist-Shannon sampling theorem establishes a minimum sampling rate of twice the signal frequency. Shannon’s version of the theorem states: “If a function x (t) contains no frequencies higher than B hertz, it is completely determined by giving its ordinates at a series of points spaced 1/ (2B) seconds apart.”
What should the sample rate be in quadrature demod?
To get an integer number of samples per symbol, a sample rate of 500 was chosen, producing 11 samples per symbol time. The output of the Quadrature Demod block has a sample rate of 960; the desired sample rate is 500.
How is GNU Radio used in signal processing?
GNU Radio is a free software development toolkit [6, 7] d.It provides signal processing blocks to implement software defined radios (SDR) [8, 9] and signal processing systems. It can be used with external RF hardware to create SDRs or without hardware in a simulation environment.
How does symbol synchronization work in GNU Radio?
P.S: I am attaching my screenshot of the GNU Radio flow graph. And also a plot showing how some packets are distorted after passing through the symbol sync block. The red is the bits of a packet after the symbol sync block and blue is before that. You can see that it’s been lost many bits. Hence, the packet detection block is unable to detect it.
Why is symbol timing recovery important in GFSK?
As most of the symbol timing recovery is a kind of estimation/control loop algorithm. Setting the correct parameters is very important. I played a lot with the parameters. And whatever I have set now works best for me. Even in this best-case scenario, I am losing some packet.
