New users created in AD and with a email on our exchange server are missing their email address and other details that is displayed on the SharePoint User info (not sure if that is called a SIP?). Older/existing staff will show existing info from the AD account but changes to these fields are not updated on the SP side?
Are there any ad users in SharePoint 2013?
I’m having problem with my SharePoint 2013 people picker. It doesn’t shows any AD users at all. But strangely, when I pick/search people in its Central Administration site, all my AD users are shown. Both of the site are on the same server and of course were installed as a same package of sharepoint installation.
Do you need an email address for an ad account?
The AD User account must be created and have an email address associated before either: That user is put into an Assign To (probably just any action where the SP server has to contact AD for the user info) It seems the first time SP looks up the AD info, what ever is present at that time is pulled to the SP Users info.
Verify that the user account that is performing this procedure is a member of the Farm Administrators group. On the SharePoint Central Administration website, in the Application Management section, click Manage service applications. On the Manage Service Applications page, click the User Profile service application name.
How to set people picker in SharePoint local domain?

To find your column name (mine above was Dept_x0020_Manager), go to the list settings in List 2 and click on your “Dept Manager” column. Then look at the end of your URL and you’ll see it following “Field=”. Then create your email and fill in your variables. You don’t need to create the “Apply to each” piece.
