Here are a few of my favorite elicitation questions and what they might reveal about your project.
- What are the biggest challenges in your role?
- What does success look like?
- Who do you think is impacted (positive and negative) by the project and how?
- What would happen if we don’t change the way things are done today?

Why do we need elicit?
Eliciting requirements is the process of determining what the customers actually need a proposed system to do and of documenting that information in a way that will allow us to write a more formal requirements document later.
