Set Up a Default Opportunity Team

  1. In your personal settings, go to Advanced User Details and find Default Opportunity Team. Click Add.
  2. Add coworkers, selecting each user’s access to the opportunity and role on the team.
  3. If you want, select options for adding the team to open opportunities automatically.
  4. Click Save.

Can you add a public group to an opportunity team?

Currently you can only add a Public Group to a record via Sharing. I would like to be able to add a Public Group to the Sales Team on an Opportunity or the Account Team on an Account. This is important for the consistency of process for the Opp/Account Owner.

Can you add a team member to an opportunity split?

Some of our users, on some of our computers, with various web browsers are unable to add a team member to an opportunity split. I suggest that this functionality be “rolled out” to all users with sufficient access rights using a modern web browser. Salesforce has to fix the basic issues that plagues administrators.

How are access teams and owner teams supported?

The team functionality is supported by the Team entity and the TeamTemplate entity. The Team entity is used to create owner teams and user-created access teams. For auto-created access teams, the Team entity and the TeamTemplate entity are used.
