In WordPress, you can create (or “register”) a new taxonomy by using the register_taxonomy() function. Each taxonomy option is documented in detail in the WordPress Codex. After adding this to your theme’s functions. php file, you should see a new taxonomy under the “Posts” menu in the admin sidebar.

The Taxonomy Grid allows you to see all Taxonomies that have been associated with the NPI. You have the ability to filter the list of Taxonomies that display in the grid by entering Taxonomy data from any column in the grid. If you wish to delete a Taxonomy, select the trash can ICON in the Actions column.
Do you need a license for a taxonomie?
Enter the License number associated with the taxonomy if applicable. Some Taxonomies require a License and the system will prompt you for the License if one is required and you have not entered one. Note: Individual Provider licenses should not be entered on Organization (Type 2) NPIs.
