Why are there scrollbars at the top and bottom of a table?
Currently we have a table of results which has both a vertical and horizontal scroll due to the number of columns and rows displayed. A user has requested we add the horizontal scroll at the top of the table as well as the bottom.

But, with “server-side processing” it is not generating an actual file, it is simply pulling from the DB as the data is required.

Table components in web applications etc should follow the same pattern. I think you should consider whether it makes sense to display all columns in the table for start.
