Why do my contacts appear three times?
If we understand correctly, your contacts are showing 3 times. Contacts could be duplicated in an app if there are multiple accounts signed in and syncing the Contact data to it.

Remove duplicate contacts
- Make a copy of your contacts.
- Open Contacts.
- From the Card menu, select Card > Look for Duplicates.
- When asked, click Merge.
- Repeat steps 2 and 3 until no duplicates are found.
- Make another copy of your iCloud Contacts.

I had the same problem too , this is happen most probably as you sign out from i cloud and u choose to keep your contacts in the phone and not to delete them . so doing the same twice will actually make 3 times duplicate . if i cloud is the reason why . their is only one solution that you can do .
