Why do my sprites jitter when moving diagonally?
If you look at the movement you can tell this is probably the case as your camera follows the red dot (your characters position) and thus produces jittery movements (because the red dot produces the same movements on the tiles). There are three ways to fix this that I’ve seen.
Why does my camera shake when I fly?
How ever….when i after a while (lets say 30-60 sec) been flying the ship slow or fast, the ship starts to shake or vibrating. When i stop the ship it stops to shake after some seconds while the camera aint moving, if i zoom/rotate the camera around the ship it start to shake/vibrate again untill the cam stands still.
How can I Make my sprite move in 8 directions?
There are three ways to fix this that I’ve seen. Allow sprite aliasing, so non integer movements can be represented (may not be practical if you aren’t using OpenGL or something built off of that). Or possibly limit the directions you can move, such that you can only move in 8 directions.
Why does my ship shake when I Zoom in?
If i go full speed ( extreamly fast) it shakes even wors. My guess is that it is the camera thats make it looks like the ship is shaking..because even the visible planets shakes a little when zoom or rotate the cam. It is probably your code.
Why does my computer jitter when I Turn on the screen?
There can be many causes of jitter, the most typical one happens when the game physics frequency (usually 60 Hz) runs at a different resolution than the monitor refresh rate. Check whether your monitor refresh rate is different from 60 Hz.
What do you mean by jitter and stutter?
Jitter and stutter are two different alterations to visible motion of objects on screen that may affect a game, even when running at full speed. These effects are mostly visible in games where the world moves at a constant speed in a fixed direction, like runners or platformers.
What causes a jitter in the Godot Engine?
Sometimes only some objects appear to jitter (character or background). This happens when they are processed in different time sources (one is processed in the physics step while another is processed in the idle step).
