Why does 60fps video look smoother than in game?
If you play a game and your pc tells you it runs at 60 fps it may does that, but your gpu cpu aka your pc has to actually create those images for you to see and that is a stuttering mess. Some frames may take more than one 60th of a second and others have to be cut short to even it out again.
Why does 60 fps look so smooth?
V-Sync does not mean each frame is rendered at the same speed, it just renders how ever many frames your monitor can display every second. That’s why frame pacing is very important. That is also why YT videos (with proper rendering) looks so smooth.
Why do 60fps videos look better?
60 fps videos are both smooth and sharp The only reason you don’t run out of movie theaters with heavy eye strain is the fact that film makers use motion blur to make the pictures look smoother than they actually are. And that, when combined into 24 images, makes it look quite a lot smoother.
Why are YouTube videos so smooth?
A compressed video has exact frame timing, locked at 60hz no matter what. A GPU puts out frames as fast as it can, which more often than not is not exactly 60hz. So if you monitor tries to display one frame, but the GPU is giving it more than one frame it will display two frames at the same time AKA screen tearing.
Does 60fps Make games look better?
In the video below, we can see how animation looks smoother at higher FPS/Hz. At 60 FPS/Hz, the animation looks choppy, as if it’s skipping from point to point. For each “step” in the animation at 60FPS/Hz, there are 4 “steps” at 240FPS/Hz. These extra steps fill in the motion, making 240 FPS/Hz feel much smoother.
Can YouTube go higher than 60fps?
No. YouTube currently supports up to 60fps HD video playback on Chrome and Safari. If you upload a 120fps video to YouTube, it will be converted to 60fps automatically.
Does 60 fps look worse on 144Hz?
No setup will give you a consistent 60FPS on any game, it is always going to go higher or lower so 60FPS on a 144Hz will just be like having for example 50FPS on a 60Hz monitor. It looks fine, you just get some minor tearing sometimes.
How can I make my 60 fps smooth?
Things to try:
- VSYNC ON.
- VSYNC OFF.
- Force VSYNC ON using NVidia Control Panel instead.
- force W7 compatibility mode (that helped in at least one game though not sure why.
- Drop settings as LOW as possible to see if it’s smooth.
Should I always film in 60fps?
60fps: The best frame rate for sports and slow motion It’s a great idea to film sporting events in 60fps to give you the opportunity to slow the action down for replays. Higher frame rates also record more data, which leads to bigger files and longer export and uploading times.
Does video need 60 fps?
24fps – As stated above, this is the minimum speed needed to capture video while still maintaining realistic motion. 60+fps – Anything higher than 30fps is usually reserved for recording busy scenes with a lot of motion, such as video games, athletics, or anything you want to show in slow motion.
Is 60 fps smoother than 30fps?
Because there are more frames per second, a 60fps video is more likely to capture twice as much underlying data as the 30fps. The other benefit of choosing a 60fps video speed is that you can slow down the video while keeping a higher quality of slow motion.
Will YouTube ever go higher than 60 fps?
