Why does FBX export result in flipped objects?
Our import/export developer, Artur, will be investigating why it’s happening but last time he checked, it was caused by an error in the FBX exporter, i.e. in AutoDesk’s code. Hopefully, this will be fixed in a future update of their FBX exporter for 3DS Max.”
Is there a way to flip all your normals?
I found someone with similar problem, but their answer doesn’t work for me. Other than that, the net is full of advice how to flip normals programmatically to create interiors on the fly, but other than “Your normals are wrong”, no help. All my normals point outwards.

How to change the orientation of an object in FBX?
Let’s say you create a box and rotate that box 90 degrees. Max knows that this box was rotated 90 degrees and has a memory of it. Resetting the XForm resets this transform ‘history’ on the object so that it’s current orientation is assumed to be the default orientation to Max and for the exporters. (also for scale and position.)
