Why does javascript loop only use the last value?
You have some sort of for/next loop that then calls some asynchronous function. When the function runs, what you see when the code runs is that the last value of the loop index is the value that gets used in the function for every instance that it gets called.
What is the problem with loop and closure?
Using a closure in a loop is tricky. Notice that counters[0] and counters[1] are not independent. In fact, they operate on the same obj ! This is because there is only one copy of obj shared across all iterations of the loop, perhaps for performance reasons.
Can you declare a variable in a for loop?
Often the variable that controls a for loop is needed only for the purposes of the loop and is not used elsewhere. When this is the case, it is possible to declare the variable inside the initialization portion of the for.
Is used to exit a loop early?
The purpose the break statement is to break out of a loop early. For example if the following code asks a use input a integer number x.
What is closure give an example?
A closure is the combination of a function bundled together (enclosed) with references to its surrounding state (the lexical environment). In other words, a closure gives you access to an outer function’s scope from an inner function.
How is a variable modified inside a while loop not remembered?
Each element of a pipeline, even a builtin or shell function, runs in a separate process, a child of the shell running the pipeline. A subprocess cannot affect its parent’s environment. When the read command sets the variable to the input, that variable is set only in the subshell, not the parent shell.
When to declare a variable inside or outside of a loop?
Declaring variables inside or outside of a loop, It’s the result of JVM specifications But in the name of best coding practice it is recommended to declare the variable in the smallest possible scope (in this example it is inside the loop, as this is the only place where the variable is used).
What happens when variable loses value at end of while Read loop?
Iain and Ignacio’s answers have others.) SubShell ends, variables and values are destroyed (they don’t get back to the calling process/script). You echo your original CNT value of 0. Try passing the data in a sub-shell instead, like it’s a file before the while loop.
How to assign values to variables in list in Python?
This work by defining the variables in a multiple assignment. Just as you can use a, b = 1, 2. This will unroll the range and assign its values to the LHS variables, so it looks like your loop (except that it works).
