Why does my car shake when I turn off the AC?
Shaking with the a/c on can be caused by a number of reasons. The a/c compressor puts a lot of strain on the engine because the compressor is similar to being a small engine itself. If that does not happen, then the additional drag can cause a low, shaky idle and even cause the engine to stall.
Can a bad AC compressor cause car to shake?
Faulty AC Compressor The AC compressor increases the temperature of the refrigerant through the Compressor before sending the right level of refrigerant to the condenser. That’s why if the AC compressor is faulty, it can produce excess load on the car engine and eventually make your car shake when idle and AC is on.

Why does my car vibrate when the AC is off?
Most of the time cars vibrate when you turn the A/C on, but mine is the other way around, when the AC is off the car has a lot of vibration, if I turn on the A/C it will stop vibrating, I already went to the mechanic, they used the scanner and they can’t find anything. I just changed the spark plugs and no change.
