If your car is an automatic, it sounds to me like the transfer clutches are engaged and causing the chatter/binding/shuddering during tight turns. These clutches are supposed to disengage (or at least reduce pressure to let the clutches slip) so the front and back wheels can travel at different speeds during tight turns without binding.
