Why does my Desktop freeze on my Raspberry Pi 3?
The Pi3 ACT led is on pretty solid, occaisionally blinks off. Have 32gb samsung pro+ sdcard. Tried overclocking the sdcard. It doesn’t seem to affect how often pi freezes. If I go away and come back hours later, the ACT led is off and the desktop responds normally but it doesn’t take long to freeze again.

Hey everyone, I’ve been having some issues with my recently acquired Raspberry Pi 3 that I got from this kit. I set Raspbian up using the provided NOOBS-preloaded SD Card and was able to configure everything as desired but once I walk away and leave the Pi alone for a few hours, I come back unable to SSH it and it seems generally unresponsive.

The only way to recover the Raspberry Pi again is to unplug and then plug the power. After the reboot, neither syslog (syslog/messages/kern.log/auth.log or mpd.log) do not report anything. The system is being graphed in Cacti at 5 minute intervals.
Why does my Raspberry Pi keep hanging on?
The Pi hangs only when playing music, on the 2nd day of uptime. The mpd is being stopped and started nightly by a cron script. The music files are being played from USB HDD. I’ve moved it to SD card but that didn’t help.
