Why did I get a lock screen on my iPad?
After doing so I got a pop-up on my mac (the iPad was also connected via cable) that a new iPad had been authorised to use FaceTime (or some other apple social app I did not use, I clicked it away as I do not use those apps). I am 100% sure what happened was legit, thus done by Apple.
