Why does my model not have a texture?
It just appears as a plain diffuse lambert material. Any attempts I’ve had at giving it a texture, even with just basic Unity materials, doesn’t seem to work and I can’t figure out why. The model seems to completely ignore any and all materials I give to it. Why can’t I seem to give a texture/material to my model?
Can a material texture be assigned to a selected poly?
The only texture there so far is the MAT file for the original OBJ file. It has/shows all the textures, including the decal bitmap I added that was all I originally wanted to apply. Why are my textures not showing up in Maya?
If you have the texture file but it is still not displaying properly in Maya, you will need to reconnect the texture in Maya. How can I get my textures back in Minecraft?
You CAN get those textures back by using PMDE to determine the correct name of those gibberish file names … and then correcting the names on those files. See my page: “Fixing Model Textures” to learn how to do it!
