Why does the field appear in the block definition?
When I open your file and edit the field in the block editor, it appears that you have selected the block itself as an object as is shown in the screenshot. You video doesnt help because you edit an instance of a block, but I (and the others I suppose) want the field to be in the block definition.
Why are the fields in the block not updating?
*NOTE* the fields are contained within a piece of MTEXT and NOT within another attribute. The fields will not read the “value” of the attributes they are connected to, unless I explode the block (and change the DEFAULT value), or use regular text instead of attributes.

Why does new column not show up in New or edit form?
If the new or edit form is using infopath form, new column added to the list does not appear in the new or edit form. So, make sure in the list setting >> Form setting section and there default or infopath form.
How do I create a block access policy?
Under Client apps (Preview), set Configure to Yes, and select Done, then Done. Under Access controls > Grant, select Block access, then select Select. Confirm your settings and set Enable policy to Report-only. Select Create to create to enable your policy.
How do you insert a field into a shape?
To insert additional fields, repeat steps 2 and 3. To delete a field, select the field in the shape, and press DELETE. You can also double-click inside the shape and delete the text. To move the text block, click the Text Block tool, and drag the text block.
