Why is auto weight painting not working on my Blender?
I have no doubles, my normals are outward, rig is lined up, but the rig isn’t actually deforming the model at all and auto weight painting isn’t doing anything. I’m incredibly frustrated with this right now and don’t know how to fix it.
How can I auto weight a biped in Blender?
I used a rigify generated bones, and tried to auto-weight a biped model (I skipped generating the rig and just use the default bones). I just want to test the deformation of the torso, so I just scaled, make sure the torso bones aligned to the mesh, and didn’t bother to lineup other bones.
Why is automatic weights missing from Ctrl + P?
When I used Ctrl +mouse click (object data or vertex group) the automatic weight is missing, so the solution is to click on the rig then click the first object, then click the bottom object while holding shift and then when you click Ctrl + P it shows up. I hope that helps.
How to get automatic weights in object mode?
If you’re in Object Mode and you hit “a” to select everything, and then hit ctrl + p it shows the automatic weights in the context menu. Hope that helps 🙂
Is there a way to fix weight painting?
There are probably better ways to fix it, but since rigging and weight painting usually come last, it was not much of a problem to apply the mirror at this stage in my case. Make a copy of the mesh before anything to save you a backup.
Why is my weight paint not showing up?
I however has maybe this same problem now in my 9 days old build of 2.8 that the weight paint isn’t showing. It still works to weight paint, but no matter wich mode or overlay settings all i see is blue.
How to weight paint in Blender stack 2.8?
I’ve watched all of the tutorials on how to weight paint in 2.8 and they all say the same thing: Just Click Armature, Shift-click mesh, Go to weight paint mode. Simple. But when I get there, there’s no colour for me to determine the weight.
